this amazing post makes clear one thing: the earlier issues with illustration are far better than the later photography based covers. the design of the earlier covers are far superior and remain oddly modern while some of the photog covers look dated. same thing in advertising has happened. very interesting and visually exciting MM!! well done.
Great "T" Bear. I found your choices, and the order of go, thought provoking. I agree with K9, the illustration covers were more impactful than the photo covers with a few exceptions....like the towers. Happy Mute Monday.
Some very famous people have appeared on these covers and I see even Jesus and God got a mention. They don't get more famous than that. I have to agree with everyone else here Bear, you do have the most interesting Mute Mondays and I always look forward to seeing what you will come up with next.
I hope you and your family have a great Aussie Christmas Bear.
K9: I tend to agree with you, some of the photos are stand outs because of the subject or the captured moment, but my favourites are the illustration.
Fishy: The good thing about TIME is the timeline created by the covers. I've limited myself to one per year then cut it back to the more interesting... but there's so many to choose from.
Moi: I agree, and thanks for the kind comment.
Pamokc: Thank you.
Gypsy: I didn't think to look for a cover with the Devil on it... for balance, you understand.
I'm glad you like my work... and I take it as high praise because I'm often trying to match your high standard.
And I wish you and your family a great Christmas, Gypsy.
Lady Dame: No, it is I that thanks you for visiting... I hope you become a regular.
Romany Angel: Thank you so much for your kind wishes Angel, and your hope for our future, I certainly hope you're right... and of course Butch and I wish you and your family all the best for Christmas and the new year.
I cant help about the shape I'm in.
I cant sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin.
But don't ask me what I think of you I might not give the answer that you want me to.
Now, when I talked to God I knew he'd understand.
He said, stick by me and I'll be your guiding hand.
But don't ask me what I think of you I might not give the answer that you want me to.
Oh well.

June 11, 1973 was a great cover. They still publish Time, but only commies read it these days.
Happy Mute Monday!
Amazing! You do the most interesting Mute Mondays! Happy MM, and Happy Christmas, Bear!
Troll:
Well without checking I'm going to guess that issue had a horse on the cover... yes?
