Very cool looking. I'm going to have to figure out what exactly the Northern Lights are.

Happy Mute Monday.

Hi Bear, I came a looking from your message over @ Troll's blog. B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L images of the Northern lights. I've only seen them once, when I was up @ Denali in Alaska and it was breathtaking. I really love the shot of the Northern lights from space...or is that art instead of a photo?
Nice job.
Read about your salty tea.....so funny!

Wow...just Wow. Those lights look quite eerie as well as being breath taking. I enjoyed that clip especially the part near the end with the time delay camera.

Well done and Happy Mute Monday.

Seeing the Northern Lights is on my list of things I must do in the next ten years. But I also see a picture of SATURN, my favorite object to worship.... Happy MM!

Troll:
I agree, they're cool.

Fishy:
Welcome to my humble abode, Fishy.

It is on the cards that I'll visit Alaska for work, so I really hope I get the chance to see these lights for myself.

Gypsy:
Thank you Gypsy. I liked the the time delay one too, but for the foreground breaking up more than the lights.

AB:
Yes the Saturn one makes me realise that this sort of light show would be happening all over the universe.

Java:
Thank you, Java... absolutely thank you.

Aunty:
Oh how right you are, Aunty. But my heart yearns something far more beautiful and a whole lot closer to home.

Thank you once again guys... and happy MM.

Wow. Stunning. I saw the Northern Lights once, about ten years. Here in New Mexico, if you can believe it. I woke up at about 2am to notice this strange red glow in the sky outside my window. My first thought: "Oh shit, someone dropped the bomb." I woke my husband, but he was singularly unimpressed. So I got in the car and drove out to the top of the hill behind our house (we lived in a remote mountainous spot at the time). Then it hit me, I was looking at the northern lights. Absolutely incredible. I felt like the only person on earth.

I love seeing pics of the Aurora. Sometimes when the conditions are just right, sometimes I can see just a hint of them here in Western New York. I wonder if the Souther Aurora is just as spectacular?

Do you get Northern Lights in Australia? Happy MM

K9:
So have I and who knows... maybe one day we will.

Moi:
What a unique experience, Moi, you can count yourself as one of the fortunate ones.

Vixen:
Thank you.

Kiki:
Like Moi, you are one of the lucky ones.

Pamokc:
It's the Southern Aurora in the south, but it's too far south to see from Aus.

The 'sleeper' train that ran between Melbourne and Sydney was called the Southern Aurora.

Cheers all and happy MM.
